Hitch camera for backup perfection

Hitch camera“A little to the right, a bit more, biiiiit more… No, stop, too much, too much, go back. About 20 inches left, slowly, sloooowly, ok that’s it… No, no, too much.”

Sound familiar? No matter how accomplished a driver you are, it may be hard to back up to attach that boat for towing, especially if you’re using a truck, which you can’t see out of properly anyway. Sometimes you will be alone, which makes it a virtually impossible job, or at least a hit-and-miss situation.

You can eliminate the guesswork out of hitching with the MITO Swift Hitch Hidden Camera, which specializes in showing you the backend of your car and hitch, so you can attach easily, the monitor looks much like those instruments used by NASA when attaching to space stations!

What I love about this hitch camera is that it has a magnetic based attaching system, which means you can just put it anywhere on the tailgate and point it towards the hitch. When finished, just take it over to your mate’s car an attach it just as easily.

The monitor is powered by your lighter socket, while the cam is powered by a lithium battery, giving you a 300ft receiving range. You need a pretty large boat to cover that! The camera is also able to give you a clear night vision picture with a 15ft range, more than enough for almost all cars.

Eyes on the back of your head

Backup CameraI really hate parallel parking. Not in the “I can’t park in that space” sense, but I have to confess, it does take me a bit of shuffling to get into some spaces. In the city I just don’t want to hit anyone, just the other day, someone actually bumped into me while he was parallel parking. I was waiting for someone and writing a Parts Reviews post actually, when I see this person coming at me. It wasn’t a big bump, nothing major, it could’ve happened to anyone.

The problem is, especially if you own a truck, that chances are you’re sitting very high up, and your vehicle is long, so you won’t see the back of it properly, especially not relative to what’s actually behind you. In these cases a backup cam, like the Mito License Frame Camera is essential in helping you back up your truck safely.

Some people might be saying “I’m a pro driver, I don’t need a cam!”. Well, in most cases you might be right, but there are some situations where you can still use it. I drove in to a very narrow parking alley, and it turned out there were no free spaces. Due to some stupid person, the exit was blocked and I was forced to back up about 350 feet. Now that wasn’t the huge problem, but it was a very busy alley pedestrian-wise, and noone really wanted to get out of my way. I managed fine, but another set of eyes would’ve been much safer, and easier for me.

The 512×492 pixel LCD screen gives you a great picture from the high quality camera. In addition, the camera itself is very well placed into the license plate, seamlessly integrated. You also receive a wiring and mounting kit so you can put it in action pretty quick, and it’s backed by a 1 year warranty too!
