Cheap and instant power boosts

One of the quickest and cheapest ways to add some pep to your truck is to grab hold of some air filters. You can get them for as low as $25, like these S&B Air Filters proving that you don’t always have to spend hundreds of bucks to get some extra power.
Replacing your stock air filters for some fancy new ones will bring many benefits, not just the power boost, let’s take a look at what they actually do though. I don’t think it comes as a huge surprise that they clean air, or putting it another way, they filter air. They prevent tin particles of dust, dirt, pollen, etc from getting to your engine.
First of all, cleaner air, means higher quality air, which means better cooling, which in term means more power because the combustion will become cleaner as well, which is a prerequisite for a power boost. Second of all, it will keep some stress off your engines, you don’t really want anything getting in there do you? Imagine just some dirt getting in, getting blown to pieces during combustion, and then quietly adding some residue inside your engine. Wait a few years and this will lead to some serious problems.
If you would like to add to your performance and also keep an eye on your engines, without breaking the bank, look to air filters. They don’t cost too much, and I’ll grant you, you won’t see a 90+ hp increase, but you will notice, and bit by bit, part by part, you can get to that 90+ hp increase!
